Pecorino with Saffron

Typical Sicilian cheese that is obtained from the processing of raw sheep's milk. It is semi-hard, compact, intense yellow with the addition of saffron in pistils. The shape is cylindrical with flat or slightly concave faces, with the rough surface due to the shaping left by the basket.
